Lisa Jane Spencer, a self-described comedian, sparked backlash over a series of videos she uploaded in June during National Reconciliation Week, in which she mockingly depicted First Nations people as negative stereotypes. According to SBS News, Spencer signalled she would be seeking legal advice after her employer, Victoria's Peninsula Hot Springs, fired her "on the spot" on Wednesday. Her employer said it was made aware of the posts "circulating online" and it did not "support or endorse content that is inconsistent with our values or our commitment to inclusion, respect and cultural safety". It seems Lisa Jane Spencer has not learned from the experience. The content creator, who made no formal apology for the videos, was seen today in a very public and indisputably racist appearance during a far-right anti-immigration rally in Melbourne.
