Four horror movies were added this week to streaming. If you missed these in theaters, here is where you can watch them. Here's where you can watch them. And if you've seen any of these, let me know how they were. First up is The Mummy. This one is about the daughter of a journalist that disappears into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the broken family are shocked when she is returned to them. But what should be a joyful reunion quickly turns into a nightmare when they realize that something is very wrong. This one feels a lot like an Evil Dead movie, which isn't a bad thing, but I was just wishing that it would be a little bit more mummy focused. But I still enjoyed it. If you're wanting a monster or supernatural folk movie, you can find this one on HBO Max. Ready or not 2, here I come. Takes place after Grace survives her sinister game of hide and seek. She discovers that she's reached the next level of the nightmarish game, but this side with her estranged sister Faith by her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive and claim the high seat of the council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne and whoever wins rules it all. They really upped the gore in this one and it was fun seeing Samara Weaving and Janelle Monáe together in a movie. They just played off each other so well. If you're looking for a splatter dark comedy thriller and you like survival horror movies, definitely check this one out. You can find it now on Hulu. Next up is Touch Me. This one is about two best friends who become addicted to the touch of an alien narcissist who may or may not be trying to take over the world. We definitely need more alien movies, and I don't think I've seen alien mixed with dark comedy. So I'm excited to see that combo. If you're looking for a sci-fi movie to watch this weekend, you can find this one on Shudder. And last but not least, Slashercise. This one is about a group of fitness enthusiasts who find themselves trapped in a nightmare when their obsession with self-improvement turns their high energy aerobic culture into a fight for survival. This one has a 1980s aesthetic and it is a slasher, obviously by the title. But this one just sounds so unique and different and I'm really excited to check it out.
