("Respondent") and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ("CFPB" or "Bureau") resolved a matter primarily related to certain aspects of Cash App’s historical Consumer support and disputes practices. More information is available at the CFPB website, and a copy of the Consent Order can be found here. Current Status Checks are being mailed starting June 8, 2026 We issue checks in batches on a rolling basis throughout the year. If we have requested documentation, please send it to us at your earliest convenience. We will review it and let you know if we need any additional information to approve your issue request. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a firm date for when your check will be mailed.

Did you get a Cashapp settlement check? Someone sent me a picture of a check that they got from a Cash App settlement that they didn't file for. Is this legit? Actually, it is. And who doesn't love a surprise check in the mail? You know what I mean? So, how did this happen? The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau determined that Cash App's parent company, Block, failed to adequately protect Cash App users from fraud. And not only that, but they failed to investigate and resolve unauthorized transactions disputes. And ultimately, they had to pay users back $120 million. The current status is checks are being mailed starting June 8, 2026. If you haven't gotten yours, don't panic. The website says that they're sending these checks out in batches. So more to come still.
