So who exactly was supposed to get a payout from the Cash App class action settlement and how do you know if you're going to get a check? Let me re-explain this because a video that I posted months ago is getting pushed by the algorithm. I'm getting a ton of comments. I can't keep up. Number one, and maybe the most important thing, not everybody is eligible for this settlement payout. This is specifically impacting people who had fraud or unauthorized transactions because the settlement is about how Cash App handled the dispute process. Number two, if you're eligible, you should have received an email letting you know that you should be expecting a payout. So the first thing you should do is double check your emails from months ago to see if you got an email about this. Number three, if you missed the email, the payment should have automatically come via check to the address that you had on file with Cash App. They were from the settlement administrator. So they did say from block their parent company on the check, but the mailing address was from the settlement administrator. Because I've also seen people in my comments saying that this is fake, that Cash App wasn't sending out checks because they asked AI to do it, blah blah blah. And it doesn't matter. Cash App was not sending out these checks. The settlement administrator was. A couple months ago when I started posting about this, you were able to reach real person by phone. I don't know if that's still the case because it's been a while now and I think many of the people that they decided were eligible for the settlement. They were automatically sent out. Checks to people that they decided were eligible for the settlement. If you think you might be eligible or you have additional questions, here's the phone number to the settlement administrator. So you didn't have to file a claim for this one. Checks were automatically sent out to people that they decided were eligible for the settlement.
