A lot of you guys have been asking me how I learned to edit like this. So today I just wanted to share 4 things that helped get more comfortable with editing. 1. Level up your software gradually. First things first, I didn't just jump into editing on DaVinci Resolve or Premiere right away. I actually started on CapCut, then I eventually moved to Final Cut, and now I edit on DaVinci. CapCut is so much less overwhelming, and when you're starting out, you can really just focus on learning the basics and not kind of get distracted by still scared of fusion page all these crazy features of other softwares. The next thing I did to really start improving my editing skills. 2. Recreate edits from other creators. Is I tried to recreate edits I was seeing from other creators. Literally what I would do and any edit that kind of really caught my eye, I would download it, then, drop it into my timeline, break down the whole edit, go through all the cuts, look at the transitions, effects that were used, and try to just in my own way. I feel like this was a really great way to learn more about pacing, where to put in effects or transitions. 3. Learn one new thing every edit. The third thing I would do is every time I would make a new edit, I would try to learn one new thing, a new transition, adding SFXs, trying out a new hook, just one new thing each time. This was a great way to gradually improve my skills without getting overwhelmed trying to learn too many new things at one time. And the fourth thing, the most important, is I just kept on. 2. Keep on making more edits. Making more and more edits. The more edits you make, you will for sure get better. Your instincts will improve, you're going to get faster, you'll pick up shortcuts, and you'll start to develop your own style. You really just have to keep on going and I promise you, you will get better! So I hope that was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you want any tutorials on some of my edits and I'd be happy to make them for u :) See you in the next video. Bye!
