If you want to take a solo trip especially on a budget, Chicago is the place. So let me show you how to do a long weekend for about $400. Okay, your flight. Ideally you can get this for under $200. I find cheap flights by using Skyscanner.com. Put in the closest major airport to you, then Chicago, and then do flexible dates. And then you can find a cheap long weekend to go and take one day off. Okay, day one itinerary. Here it is. You will most likely land at O'Hare. There's an airport down here called Midway. That's fine too. It's just a bit farther, but it's the same price if you take public transit. And then you will get to Wrigley hostel, which is right here. Drop off your bags. And then you can walk around Wrigley field. This area is just really cool. It's a little touristy, but it's good to see. And then what I would do is walk down this road right here called Sheffield because the houses are absolutely beautiful. And go get yourself a Chicago dog at the Wiener's Circle. Your girl has had a lot of Chicago dogs. That is the best spot. However, they will be really mean to you. It is part of the business model, but it's really funny and it's absolutely delicious. You need to get one in Chicago. From there, I would keep mozing down, you can walk across here through the park if you want. And then go to Lincoln Park Zoo. Why am I recommending the zoo? A, it's cute and cool to see the animals. B, it's completely free. And C, the views of the city are insane. So I think it's definitely worth going. From there, you can stop at any grocery store nearby. There's a ton down here. Get some groceries and then walk up the lakefront and have a little picnic there. Again, we're trying to ball on a budget. The spot I recommend is Fullerton Beach, guys, that actually does look like this. It is absolutely insane. And it's just such a vibe. So catching the sunset here is amazing. And then after that, you can walk back up to your hostel or if you are feeling like balling on a budget a little bit, there are some insane restaurants in that area. Feel free to comment and I can give a slew of recommendations. Saturday. Take the red line down to the Millennium Park and see the bean. Hit a museum of your liking, art museum, field museum. Walk the riverwalk. Your hostel is up here. You are going to take the red line straight down to the Millennium Park area. The red line is safe, however, it can be a little chaotic. Have your Spidey senses on and if you want to feel extra safe, stay in the front car with the conductor. You can also take the bus. It does take longer, but I've literally never felt unsafe on a bus in Chicago. But Millennium Park is where you'll see the bean, which is super cool. You have to see this. And then the park itself is insane. The skyline of Chicago is so cool. And then what I do after that is just kind of mozy up to the riverwalk and see this whole. This is the riverwalk. Again, the iconic skyline, the architecture in Chicago is insane. And if you want, you can do a boat tour. It's like $30 bucks and it'll just take you down and explain what all these buildings are, but again, you can just see it on your feet too. And then after that, you can go back up to your hostel or if you are feeling like balling on a budget a little bit, there are some insane restaurants in that area. Feel free to comment and I can give a slew of recommendations. Sunday. Check out of hostel. Take transit or Uber to Little Victories and get a chicken Caesar wrap. Walk around Wicker Park and hit vintage stores, get coffee, etc. Take blue line back. From Wrigley hostel, I would take the transit or Uber to Little Victories and get a chicken Caesar wrap. It is insane. From here, I would walk up and down Milwaukee. There's tons of different vintage stores and coffee shops that are super artsy and cute. This is kind of like the hipster neighborhood, Wicker Park, and I really love it. So highly recommend doing this. The reason I'm leaving this for the last day is because Wicker Park is connected to the blue line, which is how you will take public transit all the way back to the airport because Uber from the airport is so fucking expensive in Chicago. So trying to look out for you. But anyways, you can easily spend a week or more in Chicago. There's so many cool neighborhoods and so much to see. There's also a lot of seasonal things you can do. Like if you go in the summer, you have to go to a Cubs game or Sox game. It's hard to make a generalized itinerary for everyone, but I really love it. So highly recommend doing this. We can see the running total here. I think you can get really close to that if you buy groceries and you're just smart about where you go. But give this video some love because they take a lot of time, and let me know if there’s another city you want an itinerary for or if you have any questions. I know Chicago has a kind of a bad rep for safety. However, this itinerary is extremely safe. Just don't walk around alone at night and have your Spidey senses on. There's definitely neighborhoods in Chicago that I would not recommend to travelers just because of safety concerns, but there's not really much to do in them anyways. Besides Garfield park conservatory - be very aware in that neighborhood. But anyways, we can see the running total here. I think you can get really close to that if you buy groceries and you're just smart about where you go. But give this video some love because they take a lot of time, and let me know if there’s another city you want an itinerary for or if you have any questions. I really love all of y'all. Bye.
