Hey y'all, my name is Shana and I'm a nursing instructor. And today I'm gonna tell you guys how to prepare for A&P. So I get tons of questions on what can I do to start prepping for anatomy and physiology? So here they are. So my first thing is I love organized biology on YouTube. It's just a channel on YouTube, look it up and start like AMP lessons from organized biology. Super good, clear concepts. It's not too overwhelming, just to kind of like prep you. Just listen to them. You don't have to take notes like while you're listening to the lecture, listen to it and start absorbing the information. My second thing is use AI to your advantage, okay? Have it make you AMP flashcards, have it make you AMP practice questions, study guides, that type of thing to just look over and kind of flip through and practice. Number three is learn medical terminology. So AMP is a ton of just terms, like learning what these terminologies like mean, suffixes, prefixes, and all that. So just look up medical terminology. You can use AI tools for medical terminology, all of those things. My fourth thing is going to be focus on learning the why, not all the little bitty details, okay? So if you're understanding why a system works like it does, that's what's going to help you in AMP. You know like, say for instance, the heart, why does it work that way? Ask yourself why for everything that you're learning. And then my fifth thing is print and download blank anatomy diagrams. So like of the heart, diagrams of the body and start practicing labeling different muscles and bones, because you're going to be labeling in your AMP labs. So go ahead and just familiarize yourself with that. You don't have to perfect it, but that's definitely one way that you can start getting used to and preparing for AMP. I hope that helps.
