Exactly what we did👇 1. Fill their cup first. 10 minutes of full attention - phone in another room - before expecting any solo play. 2. Stay in the room at first. Independent play doesn't mean alone in a room. I sit nearby doing my own thing. 3. Don't interrupt. No "wow good job!", no fixing the tower. Every comment breaks focus and ends the play. 4. Fewer toys, out and visible. Open-ended toys on a low shelf rotated out when interests die 5. Start small. 5 minutes is a win at first.
