DIY ALOE VERA HAIR MASK TO SUPPORT HEALTHY HAIR GROWTH + SHINE 🫶🏽 How to make it: 1️⃣ Blend ½ cup aloe vera gel with 4 drops of pumpkin seed oil, ¼ cup jojoba oil, 1 tbsp castor oil, and 2 tbsp amla oil. 2️⃣ Blend until smooth. 3️⃣ Store in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. 4️⃣ Shake or stir well before each use since the aloe and oils naturally separate. How to use based on your hair type: 🤍 Fine or oily hair: Apply a light amount, focusing mainly on the scalp and mid-lengths. Leave on for 30–60 minutes. 🤍 Medium hair: Apply from scalp to ends and leave on for 1–2 hours. 🤍 Thick, curly, coily, or very dry hair: Apply generously from scalp to ends, paying extra attention to your ends, and leave on for 1–2 hours. ✨ To remove the mask, shampoo twice to thoroughly cleanse your scalp and hair, then follow with your favorite conditioner or hair mask to lock in moisture and leave your hair feeling soft and nourished. 🤍 Why I love these ingredients: 🌿 Aloe vera: hydrates the scalp and hair, helps soothe dryness, and supports a healthy scalp. 🎃 Pumpkin seed oil: rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that help nourish the scalp and support overall hair health. 💧 Jojoba oil: moisturizes, smooths frizz, and adds lightweight shine. 🌰 Castor oil: helps lock in moisture and leaves hair feeling thicker, softer, and glossier. 🌱 Amla oil: nourishes the scalp, helps improve softness, and leaves hair looking healthier and shinier. Tip: Before making the mask, let your fresh aloe vera leaf soak in water overnight to help remove the yellow latex (aloin), which can be irritating for some people. The next day, remove the gel and blend your ingredients together. If you'd like an even smoother consistency, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Since this mask contains both aloe vera and oils, natural separation is completely normal just give it a good shake or stir before each use. As always, patch test first if you have sensitive skin! ✨ I also love making different DIY hair masks depending on what my hair needs. Every ingredient has its own unique benefits, so I customize my masks for hydration, shine, scalp care, softness, or nourishment. #hairtok #aloevera #haircare #hairmask #healthyhair
