You've been rubbing fresh cut aloe on your face, please. Doing nothing more than rubbing plant poison on your skin. If you ever took some fresh cut aloe and we're just met with this horrible, foul smelling yellow liquid for, I got some news for you. This absolutely putrid yellow liquid called Aloin, and it is aloe latex. It smells like sulfur. It stains everything it touches. Harsh defense. Aloe uses and violent cramps that might try to eat it. To get pure Acemannan out of the aloe, which is the healing compound that you can use for your skin or your digestion, you have to bleed the leaf first. Stand leaf upright in a glass of water until all of the latex is drained. In water for at least 15 minutes. Cut off serrated edges then chop the leaf into these little nuggets and peel off the skin. Then remove the gel. Give this a quick rinse in cold water. You look at that. You now have 100% pure sterile aloe vera gel. You can apply this now or you can keep these pieces in an ice tray and put them in the freezer and save them for later.
