So to give you context, I used to have a lot of rich friends at USC and one of the things that you have to understand, rich kids, whether it's USC or any other private school, are always going to feel entitled. They have like this godly desire that they earned it, like they deserve that specific position, that award, that leadership, whatever it is. And as poor kids, you're kind of taught that like, be humble, oh my god, like all this stuff, right? And I remember during this time, it was like our senior year of college, that I wanted to go to MBA school. Like I was like, yeah, let's just do grad school, like whatever. And my other friend was like, yeah, let's do it too. And I told him, I was like, yeah, let's go to Stanford. And he told me, he's like, oh, it'll be so easy for you because you know, you're like, gay and Latino. And I looked at him and I was like, what the fuck does that mean? And he's like, it's just harder for me because I'm, you know, white and like, you know, in my head, I was like, bitch, you literally eat out every fucking meal, you never fucking work, you're always like spending your free time studying and with all these fucking advantages, you still fucking complain? And you still think that like, oh, it's easier. Like, bitch, I was working. I was doing like the fucking thing. And I was like, I earned my fucking spot to be there. I worked 10 times harder to get half the opportunities that you have. You have parents that have millions of dollar businesses that are on fucking board of directors of these big ass companies. And let me, me, I worked my ass off walking to Starbucks every fucking day to apply for scholarships because my parents can't afford the tuition. Can't even afford the college application. And I remember like after that whole conversation, we had gone into a fight about something else. And a lot of these rich kids think that, oh, if you just give your money or like a nice experience, that things will go. And I straight up went out to him and was like, I don't know who the fuck you are, but I'm not a fucking coffee chat type of friendship. If you want to get all these fucking accomplishments, it's not hard. It's like, you do certain things and you get it. And I'm going to look at your fucking life and you're going to be so unfulfilled because you don't even know what it is to have something earned for yourself because everything that you have is fucking given to you, whereas I, I had to fucking work for it, not like you, because I know the value of a fucking dollar unlike you. And once you learn to fucking recognize your own value as someone that comes from a poor background, you realize that none of these people are better than you. If anything, you are better than them because you have fucking slaved in work and sacrifice and invested so much time with so little that you have to fucking be at the same level as them. And they should be fucking scared of you. And next time someone fucking tells you anything, tell them to your face because I fucking earned to be here, not like you that has paid your way to have the opportunities you have right now.
