Someone told me that teens having a job is a "poor person mentality"

The other day I told you guys that high school kids who work during school have a better chance of being successful when they get out or at least successful finding a job. And y'all got really mad, but two things stood out. The second one really surprised me. So I'm gonna narrow in on that one for this video. The first one is the obvious you would expect school is the job they can learn all of those skills at school that they can't in a workplace. So there's no need to push back on that is school is focused on the success of the student and learning and education. Whereas a job is focused on the success of the company or the customer, meaning the student or your child, your precious child is not the focus in that equation. But the second argument that keeps coming up is that teenagers having jobs is a poor person mentality. And enough of y'all saw that that I wanted to say something about it because I don't think you haven't issue with it. I think you just don't like the job that your kid would have to do and you feel like your kid is above that job. See, you don't like the idea of learning life skills at Walmart and a drive-through because that you feel like you're above that work. But you don't have a problem rubbing elbows and getting your kid an internship selling annual memberships at your country club at no cost, no pay for free because that's well-rounded and building a network for them. I don't think it has to do with a poor person mindset. I think it's an entitlement mindset for you. You feel like your precious baby is above fast food, is above retail, is above food service. And so you would never put them in that situation. That's what I think's really going on.
