FORCED TO GET A HAIRCUT

I was forced to get a haircut because of these two mistakes. And for context, this is what it looked like before. Healthy, luscious, long, beautiful, gorgeous hair. This clip is the last time that I saw my hair at this length. And only two variables have changed between me in this video and the haircut that I had the other day. And I know it was healthy because I was going to my hairdresser on a monthly basis. So I needed to understand how exactly my hair went from absolutely stunning and gorgeous and shiny to now this abomination that's the only thing that I can call it really. So I was trying to get all the answers. I went to get a scalp consultation. Was something wrong? And then I remembered that day that I saw my hair for the last time. Only two things have changed. One was a product and the other one was water. Because I just moved house and I started to notice that I needed to clean the shower more and more. That's when it hit me. We're in the UK, there's hard water, like everyone else. I just went online and I looked for solutions. And one of the ones that came up was filtered showerheads. But I still wasn't seeing any meaningful difference in my hair until I came across a video that told me that I needed to use a chelating shampoo as well. So it turns out that one other type of build up that you can get on your hair is mineral build up. And there is no serum that will save your hair from that. It basically makes your hair look like you just came out of a pool. And if you don't remove the hard water deposits, then your hair can become brittle and break off. So I was basically washing my hair with the equivalent of pool water. And then I was surprised that my hair was so far the only one I tried is the Curl Wow Hooked shampoo and it's been working okay, but it's a little bit too expensive for what it is. And you know me, I don't usually do product recs, but the one that I'm personally looking at right now is the Ouai detox shampoo. Because, duh, it's cheaper, but it still does the job really, really well. Got loads of reviews of people and the ingredients back up the claims, which I ask for really these days.
