Things I DON'T spend money on (as a working mom and someone who likes to spend $). New cars: I traded in my expensive Wagoneer for an older QX80 because I don't want a car payment. Nails: The upkeep of nails and $150 a month isn't worth it for me. I'll get pedis about 3x a year. Boats & a camper: We rent a boat and camper occasionally and I LOVE it. But we wouldn't use it enough to buy. Organic foods: groceries are expensive enough as is! A big home: My house is one of the smallest in our neighborhoods. (Easier to manage, clean, repair, and organize). Plus, 2.8%. Expensive grocery stores: My kids want chicken nuggets anyway! Walmart order is my go- to. No whole-foods market here. Name brands: Walmart clothes has been amazing lately for kids. I just don't care about name brands for myself. I budget carefully so I can allocate towards things I care about!
