This one takes place after the passing of her husband, a woman seeks comfort at her in-laws. But when an ancient evil is unleashed, the family is thrust into a terrifying fight for survival against demonic forces. This is one of my most anticipated movies of the month. I love how creepy these get and I will always be excited when an evil dead movie drops. You can find this one right now in theaters. Next up is The Town That Takes. This one is about a young boy that goes missing on a road trip through a small backwoods town. A desperate father and two detectives team up to uncover the terrifying truth behind the town's legend before an ancient evil claims another victim. I just posted a review about this one yesterday, so go check that out. But if you’re into folklore, mystery, and action thriller, you can find this one in select theaters. And then we have Night Nurse. This one takes place when disturbing scam calls spread through a quiet retirement community. An ambitious young nurse becomes entangled with a mysterious and dangerous patient whose secrets propel her into a dangerous web of obsession and manipulation. This one is a psychological drama thriller and I love psychological movies. You can find this one in select theaters. And then we have The Leaching. This one takes place when a woman wakes up on her father's isolated forest property with amnesia. She must use her limited memory to piece together the truth all while being tormented by the undead, a giant leech monster, and her father. This one is a supernatural psychological and creature feature, just the perfect combo for a suspenseful movie. You can find this one right now on video on demand. And last but not least, Black Box. This one takes place when a routine flight turns into a terrifying nightmare as the passengers find themselves trapped in the sky as unexplained events begin to unfold. As reality starts to blur, they must fight against a mysterious force that threatens everybody on board. I love these single setting trapped movies, especially being on a plane because it's somewhere that you can't easily leave and then having the supernatural side come into play makes the situation that much more terrifying.
