You don't need a million dollars. You just need to get to your first 100,000. Everyone thinks the goal is to be get to the million dollars. It's not. As long as you get to the first $100,000, the hundred thousand will carry you to the million. Here's why, right? If you invested a $1,000 a month in the stock market and got an average rate of return about 10%, it would take you about six years to hit $100,000. You might think that's pretty slow, but this is where it changes, right? When you have $100,000 and it grows 10%, that portfolio itself is gonna grow $10,000. That's basically almost what you're putting in. Then when it hits $250,000, it's $25,000 in growth. And when you hit $300,000, you're halfway to the millionaire goal due to the power of compounding interest. Because like I said, if it would take you about six years to hit your first $100,000 from $0-$100,000. But if you already had $900,000, it would take you 1.4 years to hit the $1,000,000. So it's 480% faster to go from $900,000-$1,000,000 than it is from $0 - $100,000. Your $100,000 is absolutely the hardest. You should be grinding your cheeks off to hit the $100k. Take it from me. I hit my $100,000 at 24 years old. Now I'm 27 with almost $500,000. Like, how the hell did I even get there, that $500K will carry me to the million dollars in just a few years. Don't worry about chasing those huge numbers. Hit the $100,000, take your foot off the gas pedal. Go enjoy your life. It will carry you to the million.
