As someone that's building a startup in a really small two-person team, my job doesn't just stop at coding out the feature. It actually encompasses the entire product life cycle. I'm talking about the design and ideation phase, as well as the actual building and then the actual marketing of that feature that I built as well and Codex lets me do all of that within one app. The latest Codex update brings together Codex and ChatGPT with ChatGPT Work, a new agent that lets me own the entire product life cycle all within the ChatGPT desktop app. For the design and ideation phase, I like to use ChatGPT's image generation model to go and do a lot of design explorations to see what exactly this feature could look like, and I like to generate three different variations every single time. And then once I decide on a couple of different design variations that I like, I then tell GPT 5.6 to implement that design into a real usable prototype, and then I publish it off into a site which is an OpenAI-hosted web app that I can then share with my co-founder. And then from there we go back and forth until we finalize on a design that both of us really like. Then once I finalize the design and the whole UI/UX, we actually go off to build the tool using that familiar agentic coding experience that we've all grown to know and love inside of Codex. And then once the feature is complete, I actually use ChatGPT Work to help draft all the marketing materials I need like email marketing templates, as well as updating pitch decks and even creating marketing launch videos using video editing plugins you can download inside of ChatGPT. ChatGPT is becoming the place where I can move an entire project forward, from a rough idea to design explorations, to creating a working product and to even launch for a solo dev or a really small team, that kind of leverage is huge. Download the ChatGPT desktop app and try ChatGPT Work.
