People on Twitter are freaking out after this guy made a post showing how Meta is finally updating their Ray-Ban glasses from secretly recording you without your consent or knowledge. There was a concerning amount of people in this comment section who had no idea people were secretly recording with the Meta Ray-Ban's. So if you're one of the 3 million people, here's everything you need to know in under a minute. Now, most of what Meta Ray-Bans look like, and they're easy to spot because you can see the little camera lens that's hidden inside of the frame here. But a big common misconception I just learned the other day from people that don't own these, they thought there was actually two cameras in these frames, and that's just not the case. This second one here is actually a white LED for your safety because every time this camera is recording, this LED is supposed to be blinking, and that gives you a notification that you are currently being recorded. Things have gotten really sketchy lately after different businesses and content creators have shown how to remove the LED light on Ray Ban meta glasses so that these glasses can record without the status LED even blinking. Thankfully, Meta's finally rolled out an update that can detect whether or not this LED has been covered, tampered with, or completely removed, and if any of those things happen, the glasses will lose their ability to take videos or pictures at all.
