Here's a real world scenario that can happen to you. Imagine you are asleep, and then suddenly you are woken by a knock at your front door at 2:00 AM in the morning. This situation is immediately more dangerous and terrifying than you actually think it is. People underestimate how disturbingly deceptive and intelligent home intruders have become. Notice how I immediately suggested that this is a home intruder? Because it is. Nobody knocks at your door at 2:00 AM in the morning unless they're planning to either kidnap you, rob your house, or kill you or anyone else living in the house. If you ever hear a knock at your front door at such late hours, do not leave your room. What you should do immediately is barricade your bedroom door. Do it as fast as you can. And there is a reason why this is suggested. Your front door does not automatically mean that they're outside. They could very well already be inside of your house, knocking on the front door to lure you out to the front door. Many victims of home intruders die this way. Now you understand why a knock at such a late hour is that dangerous. Understand this, never, ever underestimate how potentially, instantly dangerous a simple knock can be. Stay safe out there.
