The coolest people that I've ever met are people that have either constantly moved, lived in different countries, or just added lore to their life by not being in the same place, born and raised. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but I went to school in Boston. Even though Boston's not far, it added so much depth into my life. I've met people that I never, ever, ever would have had the opportunity to meet, exposed myself to situations that I never would have been exposed to had I stayed in New Jersey or Jersey City. You need to get out. If you could afford to get out, get out. You become an open-minded person, you become a well-rounded person, and your ceiling for what's achievable and what you can be in life just becomes so much higher. So I urge you to be an interesting, interesting person. Learn new languages, go to new places. You're gonna lose people, you're gonna lose community, but I think it's worth it.
