This big guy does not want a bath. Hey guys, come with me to groom Sam. Sam is a 12-year-old Basset Hound and he needs a major deshed. He's also here with his brother Ralph, but Ralph does not shed nearly as much as Sam. So I'm going to be showing you the process on Sam, but I'll make sure to show you Ralph as well. Before I start the bath, I'm gonna make sure to put cotton balls in his ears because Basset Hounds are super prone to ear infections. That's kind of the same with any long-eared breed. Sam loves giving the side-eye, as you'll see throughout the whole video. I'm going to be washing Sam in a deep cleaning shampoo as well as a deshedding conditioner because I definitely need to get out as much hair as I can today. Once I get all of that conditioner rinsed out, it's time to put him back on the table with a happy hoodie and I'm going to let my blow dryer do a lot of the deshedding work as well. Once he's all dry, I'm going to go in with a ZoomGroom and my other deshedding brushes and just brush until the hair starts to slow down. The ZoomGroom definitely worked best on Sam's hair texture.
