where in Texas did we end up choosing to live?! I never updated on what town we decide to live in. My boyfriend was working out of West Lake and I knew I wanted to live somewhere with a lot of walkability and based on a ton of suggestions, we ended up choosing Roanoke. I love our apartment so much and we are right in downtown so it is so walkable. There is a yoga studio, a spa shop, food, really good Mexican food and margaritas and they have a farmers market on Saturdays. So I highly recommend checking out this area if you're in the same situation working somewhere like West Lake, South Lake, but can't afford it. Roanoke is amazing. My boyfriend's commute to work is like six minutes and then I work out in South Lake and it's 12 minutes I think. Not bad at all. And we're 30 minutes from the Stockyards, about 45 minutes to Dallas I think. So I highly recommend this area if you're in the same situation working somewhere like West Lake, South Lake but can't afford it.
