I just moved to Austin, Texas, which I've heard is an expensive city. But here is what I got and how much I'm paying to live just 15 minutes from downtown. So the unit itself is 800 square feet with one bedroom and a yard. And since it's a corner unit, I can walk my dog right out back and bring in groceries from the side. It's got smart appliances that I can control from my phone, five burner stove, smart locks that I can control from my phone, enough space for a couch and a desk, plus bar stools and dog bowls. It's got this cool walk-in closet, side-by-side laundry with storage above, coat closet, linen closet, enough space for a queen plus two nightstands and a dresser. The community itself has an awesome pool with grills that have propane timers, this cabana area, a sky lounge with downtown view, dog park, dog spa, volleyball court, fenced-in dog walking path, and a clubhouse with office space and a pretty solid gym. Plus you get the perks of being in the hill country, but you're only 15 minutes from the downtown bars and campus. And I get all that for just 1652 a month. But they gave me a six-week credit that I'm using to prorate the rent across the full 12 months, which means I'm only paying 1446 per month. So what do you think?
