I tried to do kind of a unique wedding guest book and I ended up being a little bit of a fail. I'm honestly kind of sad about it. So I've actually been avoiding doing this, but we are facing our fears today. So if you missed my first video, we basically got the idea to do a rock garden in our backyard. I purchased 70 pounds of rocks. It was actually very affordable, I think it was like 20 bucks. And I spent weeks with my mom hand painting every single rock to be kind of like on theme of our wedding of like spring wild flower garden vibes. And the thought was for each of our guests to sign this here in our backyard. And for us to display them here in our backyard. I did of course do a sample one and it worked out perfectly, but pretty early on into our wedding, we had heard that a lot of people were having issues writing on the rocks with a Sharpie. And I literally think we got like five people to sign rocks, which means this entire bucket is just unsigned rocks. Let's go through, let's figure out how many we have. I'm gonna seal them and we're gonna start filling this. Regardless, even if we do have empty ones, I feel like it's still a memory that I got to do this with my mom. We also can have people sign these when they come over to our house. Like there's so many cute little things we can do with these. I think it's kind of like a sweet sentimental thing in Tyler's family. So it still is very meaningful that we have these. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen. Wait, I actually think that was like most of our guests. So a lot of people signed it as couples. So that was my bad. Second thing, I wish I had multiple types of markers available. Knowing that something could happen day of. So I definitely would have still had Sharpies, but I wish I would have gotten like a paint marker or like a couple different options to see what works best. Otherwise, wasn't as much of a fail as I thought and I do like them. I can either repaint these so that they look different from our wedding ones and we can use them in here. Or I just keep them the same and people will sign them when they come over. Okay, final thoughts to make that less of a fail. One, I do not think I needed one rock per guest because so many people ended up signing as couples. So that was my bad. Second thing, I wish I had multiple types of markers available. Knowing that something could happen day of. So I definitely would have still had Sharpies, but I wish I would have gotten like a paint marker or like a couple different options to see what works best.
