Hook
Ready with me for the last night in Aruba. This one is special. This one is special and yes, I am sunburnt to a crisp and a little tipsy. I don't know what happened, but my face is an indicator of how good I'm feeling. I am a little toasty and a little toasted. This is our final night in Aruba. This is the goofy goober farewell photoshoot and dinner get ready with me. I need to look hot and not in the way that my face looks. We're about to do like a goofy goober best friend photoshoot and I want to look good. Honestly, right now is a really weird chapter in my life that I didn't think I'd experience being someone who is 42 and is in like the prime of her dream career and now newly single. It's a really weird place to be and having a great support system and having to like social media friends become chosen family. It's just the biggest blessing to me. When I tell you this is probably been the best trip of my life. I'm trying not to cry myself. I pushed myself this trip to do things I told myself I wouldn't do. Don't go in the ocean, there's sharks. It's scary. Don't go in the ocean. But you know what? Being with my best friends in Aruba is not scary. I'm really proud of myself for choosing me and living life. I'm proud of myself for choosing me and living life and I can't wait to feel beautiful and celebrate Sydney's engagement. These are happy tears. I am the most sensitive goob of all. I'm the big sister. I go into mom mode the quickest. And honestly, I don't mind that role. It's what I was meant to do. I am the nurturer of the group. And I'm fine with that. Honestly, I don't know where I would be in life without the goofy goobs. But one thing I do know is that they always challenge me to like see the best in myself on this trip we've had serious conversations, but we've also had a lot of laughs and it's probably been the best trip of my life. I went swimming with sea turtles. We saw octopus, we saw squid, we even saw a starfish. I literally showed the instructor my nails and I said, not even five minutes later, we saw starfish. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I feared that the goofy goobs have gotten drunk. You see Sydney was probably the most toasted that I've ever seen her in the years and years of friendship that we've had. And I was living for it. She should, she's an engaged queen. You guys go show her engagement video some love. I am praying that this covers my sunburn. I did not realize how toasty toasty I was until I got into my room and I looked in the mirror and I said, Oh, I'm cooked. I fear. This is one of the new shades from Dior. I think this is shade Palmello. I am liking where this makeup is going. It's looking really pretty in the natural light. I want beachy babe, but I also want glam. That could be the Aruba aribas that are telling me I look good, but something tells me this actually might be a really good makeup day. It is absolutely beach goddess, my makeup sunburn or not. I'm obsessed with my makeup. Sunburn or not. I don't know if it's the alcohol, but I feel like I look really good. The makeup and hair is everything I would want it to be for this photoshoot. I'm going to throw on a lash, a lip. I'm going to hurry up and get dressed and go to the party. This is the epitome of girlhood, sisterhood and friendship. We're about to go do a photoshoot and celebrate. So I'm going to get dressed and go party with my goobs.
