Why it worked

The video uses a relatable workplace scenario (a strict boss and a common employee desire to eat at their desk) to introduce a product in a humorous and engaging way. The "Sprout partner" tag and discount code clearly indicate a promotional aspect, but the content itself is framed as a personal anecdote, making the promotion feel more organic and less like a direct advertisement.

Summary

The creator humorously recounts a misunderstanding with their boss about eating at their desk, contrasting the boss's strict policy with the creator's reliance on Sprout for job applications. The video highlights Sprout's features for tailoring resumes and cover letters based on job descriptions, including the mention of a 30-minute lunch break in the contract.
