My nugget ice machine has been screaming at me for the past week. Um, for me to sanitize it. So we're gonna do that today. I do have the one with the side tank. First thing I'm gonna do is take out all this ice in the bin and dump it in my sink. Next, I'm gonna remove the drip tray. Okay, so I pulled it um closer to me because luckily my sink is right there. So I turned it around so you can see what's going on here. So we're gonna unhook this hose right here. If you don't have a water tank, this other hose is gonna also be up here, connected with this one. Since I do have the side tank, I'm gonna take out the side tank and bring it closer to the sink as well because we're gonna drain all the water. It's gonna look like this. So what I like to do is take this part out and disconnect the hose. And then the other hose, we're gonna take out all the water that's in here. So I'm gonna disconnect the hose and drain this out into the sink. So while that's draining, you don't need this anymore. I'm gonna take out the screen that's in here, which looks like this. So once cleaning it, it is recommended for me to pop this back in. So I'm gonna grab some of this, this distilled white vinegar and I'm gonna add a cup of this into the machine. So I'll spill all of the vinegar. And now I just fill up the rest of the machine with fresh clean water. I did wash my bin with some soap to get rid of any vinegar that might have fell in there. I got fresh water in my tank. I'm gonna put it back on. And then the drip tray. Now it's ready to make ice. I'm gonna press this button for 3 seconds. And then it says cleaning. So I'm just gonna let it clean itself. Okay, the cleaning cycle is done. I'm gonna take out the bin. So I'm gonna do the same thing. I'm gonna remove the hose from up here. And then I'm gonna rinse out all the water that's in there with the vinegar. So if you don't have a side tank, you would just put this back up there. So I'm just gonna hook my side tank. And then I'm gonna rinse out all the water that's in there with the vinegar. So all the water has drained. I'm gonna put the filter back in. So I'm gonna put in my filter again. Now I'm just gonna fill it up with fresh water. It is said if you fill this up with fresh water first, it makes ice faster. I did wash my bin with some soap to get rid of any vinegar that might have fell in there. I got fresh water in my tank. I'm gonna put it back on. And then the drip tray. Now it's ready to make ice. I'm gonna press this button again. So yes, if you're considering on getting a nugget ice machine, it is a lot of maintenance that goes behind it. But to me, it's worth it.
