I finally made it to the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles. And the first thing I noticed was that it doesn't feel like the farmers markets we're used to today. Instead, it feels like walking through a collection of specialty shops, with something new to discover around every corner. The market has been welcoming visitors since 1934, and many of the businesses proudly display how long they've been here. You'll find everything from fresh pasta and old-fashioned butcher shops to bakeries, produce stands, and international restaurants. What I love most is that it still feels timeless. You can easily spend a couple of hours wandering from shop to shop, trying different foods and taking in the history. And if you've never been before, it's connected to The Grove, so you can easily visit both in one day. If you enjoy exploring places with character, this is definitely one worth experiencing.
