Tucked away and downtown Riverside is this charming little sandwich shop that honestly feels like stepping back in time. The menu is about as old school as it gets. Just a handful of sandwiches, a few bread choices, couple of meats, swiss cheese, and that's pretty much it. Every sandwich comes with your choice of potato salad or chips plus pickles, peppers, and all the extra fixings. You can help yourself to their little salad bar with pasta salad, fresh veggies, pickles, peppers, and all the extra fixings. Even the layout caught us off guard. You order and one way to find out is to sit in the courtyard and fountain looking at all the vintage details. The sandwiches themselves are simple and honestly I think that's intentional. This isn't your modern deli pile high with toppings. If it feels like they've been making sandwiches the same way for decades. My favorite part was wasn't even the sandwich. It was everything around it. Sitting by the fountain looking at all the vintage details. The indoor dining room is in a completely separate building. Once we figured that out, it all makes sense. The sandwiches and honestly I think that's intentional. This isn't your modern deli pile high with toppings. If it feels like they've been making sandwiches the same way for decades.
