One of the best things you can do for yourself in this lifetime is change who you surround yourself with. When you're trying to grow, when you're trying to pursue a higher version of yourself and put yourself out there, people who don't feel secure in themselves or aren't trying to build anything for themselves will feel threatened in turn. They'll criticise you, they'll put you down, they'll say that you're doing too much. That's a very dangerous place to be, because if you start listening to them, then you won't fulfill your potential. On the other hand, if you surround yourself with people that are successful or at least trying to build something for themselves, see your effort, and they'll respect it. Because they know how hard it is, how hard it is to trust yourself, to put yourself out there, to pursue the things you want, regardless of the opinions of others. They understand how difficult that is, and they will encourage you, they'll lift you up. And I found that, like, your circle determines what feels normal for you. So if you surround yourself with people that are always critical and always thinking that, yeah, it will never happen for me, it will never happen to you, you will be pulled down to that level. On the other hand, if you're surrounded by people that are positive, optimists, working hard, fulfilling their potential, you will rise to that standard. So choose your circle like your life depends. On it? Because honestly, it does.
