The biggest comeback you'll ever make is becoming yourself again. I think one of the saddest things that can happen to you isn't losing your job or ending the relationship or failing at something. It's slowly losing yourself. Chasing other people's approval, saying yes when you wanna say no. Living according to everyone else's expectations instead of your own. And the scary part is that this doesn't happen all at once. Happens little by little. And you don't even realise that it's happening until one day you wake up and look back and you don't even recognise yourself. You realise you've been living for other people. And you feel so detached from the things that used to bring you joy, the things that really make you who you are. And I've been there. There have been seasons in my life where I cared so much about other people, thought about me, that I completely disconnected from myself. I've lost myself in relationships, trying to be the perfect version for someone else. I wasn't making decisions cause they felt right to me. I was making them because they looked right to other people. I've realised that healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming back to who you were before. The fear, the comparison, the expectations convinced you to become someone else. That's the real come back. Not proving people wrong, not becoming more successful, not getting revenge. It's about looking in the mirror and recognising yourself. And in my Opinion there is no better feeling than that
