These are seven signs that you've lost yourself and you don't even realise it. And this is coming from someone who spent years of my life feeling like I didn't even have a personality. I lost myself in relationships. I was the biggest people pleaser and I would consistently abandon myself to make sure everyone else was comfortable. Sign No. 1. You keep promises to everybody except yourself. You never let your friends down. You never miss those important meetings. But when you tell yourself that you're gonna go to the gym, that you're gonna wake up early, it's always off start tomorrow. Sign number two. You know exactly what you need to do, but you don't do it. It's not because you're lazy. It's because you've stopped trusting yourself to follow through. Sign number three. You've stopped doing things that used to make you feel alive. Exercising your hobbies, going outside, being creative. You've become so busy surviving that you forgot how to actually live. Sign No. 4. You spend more time thinking about changing your life than actually working on changing your life. Monday next month, after work settles down, after the holidays, after I get less busy. You're always waiting for the perfect time, but that never comes. Sign No. 5. You've become disconnected from your own standards. You say health is important, but you don't prioritise it. You say growth is important, but you keep repeating the same patterns, and that disconnect slowly destroys your self-respect. Sign No. 6. You put everyone else's needs above your own. You feel guilty saying no. You struggle to keep boundaries. You keep abandoning yourself just to make sure that everybody else is comfortable. And sign No. 7. Deep down, you know you're capable of so much more. And this is the hardest part. Because everyday you stay the same. And everyday you feel that gap growing between who you are and who you can be. If this resonated with you, you haven't lost yourself. You've just become disconnected from your potential. But the good news is you can rebuild that relationship with yourself. One promise at a time.
