I'm 27 years old and I'm a million dollars in debt and I'm not trying to get rid of it. Yesterday my husband and I were talking about how we want to increase our debt, not get rid of it. My husband and I actually own three houses. The dream goal one day used to be 10, 10 houses. That seems a little far away at this moment. Here's the thing that you guys think is really, really weird. I actually lose money every single month on my houses. In a way, on paper, that's what it looks like. It's your way fees come out of our bank account. The rent doesn't totally cover the mortgage and anything else that comes out of our own pocket. We're losing like $700 a month paying these mortgages because their rent doesn't fully cover the mortgage. You guys just say, well, up their rent, increase their rent. It's not always that simple. Sometimes you need to post a unit to four rent. Sometimes you're not gonna get any bites. So you have to lower the rent, lower the rent, lower the rent until eventually people start biting. That's just kind of how that works. And we've had these tenants for a couple years now. We want them to stay because they're good tenants. And so why would I then try and up their rent and be that kind of like landlord? I mean, in my opinion, that's just like dumping money down the drain every single month. Let me know your thoughts on this! If you are a renter or a buyer, what are your thoughts? I personally think that the buying is the way to go.
