Dodge is about this generation's most powerful Dodge Charger and it's not gonna be powered by a Hemi. On August 8th at Roadkill Nights, Dodge is gonna unveil something fast. The Scat Pack makes 550 horsepower from a twin 3 liter straight six, so expect 600, maybe even more. Now the internet's gonna hate this because no V8, but I've actually driven the Charger. Let me tell you what's really going on. The engine is not the problem. It's buttery smooth and makes serious power. The chassis is good, but what the car is missing is theater. It needs attitude. Give it a big paddle shifter with a meaty clunk or a manual transmission, a nastier exhaust, something that lets this car take its hair down and have some fun. Because right now, nobody's buying it. Dodge is sitting on a 385 day supply. Is coming, we all know it. But if Dodge adds a little bit of drama to the six, it'll be terrific as well. More power or more attitude. What does the Charger need for it? I'm MoneyShift. Follow for all things car news.
