My name is Sarah and I own a house plant store in Wake Forest, North Carolina. And today we are going to make some soil. I get asked a lot what type of soil I use here at the shop. So finally I'm gonna show you how I do it. Okay, we have moved to the back of the store and is this my trusty bin of soil. So we're gonna go ahead and restock this because she is looking a little low. First, we're gonna go ahead and use two bags of Fox Farm soil. I like the one that is in the blue bag with the little fishes on it. I do not really measure. I just measure with my heart. So do what's best for you and your house plants and that's all that matters. Next, we're gonna go ahead and add some perlite in here. I do not know what grade I like. The tinier grades. I don't like the big chunky ones. I feel like they just get in the way. So I like to use the finer perlite. And yes, this whole bag is going in here. Okay, now I'm gonna go ahead and add some orchid bark. I personally like the smaller kind of orchid bark versus the larger orchid bark. I feel like it mixes better in the soil. And yes, this whole bag is also going in here. Okay, now I'm gonna go ahead and give it a little mix. Okay, we are done. Probably this will last me about, so depending on how many plants I want to repot. If this was at home, it would probably last me a very, very long time here. But being at the store, I tend to obviously repot a little bit more than I would at home. But this is my mixture and it's nice and fluffy and airy. I use this on like 99% of my plants here at the shop. And now that it's all set, it is finally time to repot some plants.
