Keller just turned down a brand new neighborhood, and it tells you everything about how the town protects itself. 🌳 The Preserve at Keller Oaks would have brought 55 single-family homes and two commercial lots to nearly 40 acres, with homes priced from $1.2 to $1.5 million. Even so, the city council voted 6 to deny it. The sticking point was lot size: council members wanted larger lots to match nearby neighborhoods like Greenway Park and preserve the wide-open, tree-lined character Keller is known for. One member said it simply "doesn't fit what Keller is yet." Love it or not, this is a community using its zoning to protect its identity, and that kind of intentional growth is a big part of why Keller home values stay strong.
