What actually counts as a high salary for your age? Earning 50k at 18 is very different from earning it at 50. So, here's the salary that puts you in the highest 10% of people for your age group. If you're 60 or older, it's £74,677 in pounds. In your 50s, you need £85,226. Your 40s have the highest threshold of any age group to earn £88,658. In your 30s, the figure is £75,041. From 22 to 29, it's £52,197 and from 18 to 21, the top 10% starts at £32,939.
