you should be a little bitchy if you want a good man

Something interesting that I have observed about every great man, great straight man that I meet, from my husband and his friends to my friends' husbands and partners to my brother-in-law to my dad, it spans all different age ranges, is that all of these men who make great husbands and fathers are all with women who are kind of bitchy. And I say bitchy kind of ironically because like what is a bitch really? It's a woman who doesn't accept like bullshit. It's a woman who stands up for herself. It's a woman who has high expectations of her partner, who doesn't expect to do everything, a woman who will call their partner out if she thinks they're wrong. It's a woman who in some ways is like slightly difficult. I personally love a bitchy woman. I am one myself. So I guess I'm just sharing this for any single gals out there who are thinking that they need to be more demure or nicer or more docile to attract a good man. No, I actually think the exact opposite is true.
