I love Chinese BBQ and I might have found the best place in Houston to get it. This is One Roast. It recently opened. It's located in Houston's Chinatown in the Dynasty Plaza. I came for lunch as you can see it was completely packed. It took about 30 minutes for me to get in. I got started with the Shrimp Pork Wontons $11.99, 12 wontons. Wontons were pretty meaty. The shrimp was sweet and plump and the meat was good. Sometimes wontons have a sour taste, this one did not. I really enjoyed this dish. I recently went to Hong Kong and this place has a Hong Kong vibe to it. You can see the people chopping up the meats in the back. I got the 3 meat combo w/ rice $14.99, Crispy Roasted Pork, Roasted Duck, as well as the Scallion Oil Chicken. The chili crisp oil is really good. I added this to my wonton soup as well. It definitely changed the flavor complexion. I got started with the Scallion Oil Chicken, better known as the Ginger Scallion Oil Chicken. The ginger scallion sauce was really good. I added this to my wonton soup as well. The pork belly was good, not great. I wish it was a bit juicier. The roasted duck was really good. Meat was very tender and juicy. I really enjoyed these cuts. The Emperor Chicken or Gagui Fei is probably the best I've had. The roasted duck was fatty, tender and juicy. Really enjoyed these cuts. I might have had a drier batch of the pork belly but if that was good as well, this place would be a 10 out of 10. Overall I give this place a 9.5 out of 10. Like and follow for more.
