Woopsie, I accidentally grew my marketing agency to $50,000 a month in revenue. All before I ever even hired an employee. And for anyone out there that's trying to grow their own business or side hustle, here's how I did it. So I left the last job I was at. I worked at an ad agency, 3 years ago. And I left with no income to start my my tech company Stella. Stella was making no money at the time. So I needed a way to pay the bills. So I took on two clients that have been wanting to work with me. That took up about four to six hours of my week. The rest I could use on building my tech company. I told those clients that like I'm going to run your Meta and Google ads. I'm going to do a good job, but I'm not going to meet with you. I'm not going to send you weekly reports. We can set up triple wheel and you can look at performance in that. I will drive you profit. In profit, I did drive. Those two clients are still with me today, three years later. Not a lot of agencies can say that they've had clients for that long. Go ask. And then eventually they told their friends and more people wanted to work with me. They found me on LinkedIn, they started finding me on I'm like, I don't have time. I don't want to I don't want to take on more clients. They're like, well, what you're paying them. I'm like, okay, it looks like my calendar just opened up. Eventually, I just started charging a premium. I charge $12,000 a month to manage Met and Google for brands and I don't do a percentage of spend. It's just a flat rate, all the profit they keep. The whole time, I've been wanting to build my tech company, Stella, but I'm just seeing so much more opportunity on the consulting side. So I had a deep conversation with myself and my wife and I'm like, do I just like let go of all the clients on the consulting side, walk away from income just to focus on Stella or do I lean into this opportunity and maybe hire a team around me and build out a more official agency. The issue I'm running into is I'm at capacity now with my current clients, so I can't really take on any more clients. But if I hire and train up a team on running at accounts, the way I run at accounts with my oversight and strategy, we might be able to get clients the same result. for a cheaper price. So I hired an employee a paid media buyer. I hired a full-time executive assistant and I think what we're going to do is lean into this opportunity and start taking on more clients with retainers starting at $4,000 a month plus a pre-agreed upon percentage of contribution profit. So like net sales minus cost of goods sold minus add spend. which incentivizes us to make sure your business is profitable. But if you're interested in working with me and my team, click the link in my bio and and apply to work with us and I'll see if we're a good fit.
