FAFSA is a joke. I'm sorry but FAFSA is a joke. What do you mean my mom and dad is a deadbeat who hasn't supported me since I was 8 years old? Whenever my mom died, my dad is a deadbeat who hasn't supported me since I was 8 years old. And I won't see a dime of Pell Grant from the government. The problem is my dad is poor, but he doesn't do poor properly, right? He doesn't do his taxes. He's a different type of poor. Like, once my mom died, my dad simply had better things to do than be a single dad. Like a little this, a little that, you know what I'm saying? I begged, I pleaded with my financial aid office and they're like, we don't know what to tell you. I'm sorry, but you're not gonna see a dime of that money. Like what? Meanwhile, there's tons of kids out here spinning it on like a shopping spree. Whenever I work full time, I have to support myself. And that's fine. You can spin it on whatever, but I think that's why the system is the way it is. But my circumstances are perfect for this and it's still not enough. I don't understand.
