I realized I wasn't made for the south when I got older and saw how people treated weddings. I'm convinced there are so many people from the south who just have one moment where they realize I am not made for this, I am not meant to be here, I do not fit in here. This might ruffle some feathers, but for me, it was wedding culture. And I know this isn't south exclusive, but it was the way people acted about them. Especially being college age, seeing how many people are getting engaged like junior, senior year of like, we're babies. We're babies still, your frontal lobe hasn't even developed that's crazy to me. For me, it's just the whole performance of it all. It's like the bigger the wedding, the less genuine I feel about the relationship. So, it's not my relationship, so it doesn't really matter. I'm the type of person like, let's elope, spend all that money we were gonna spend on a wedding on like a three-week fabulous trip out of the country, you know what I mean? But so many of these couples get married at like 22, have three kids and then get divorced by 35. And you know, so many adults like here. And it's somebody who's bounced around multiple southern states, I could talk about these things for hours because it is just such a unique experience if you're not from here.
