My home always smells like a bakery when I make this bread! 🍞 Makes 2 loaves INGREDIENTS 1 3/4 cup warm water (110-114 degrees) 1/4 cup warm whole milk (110-114 degrees 1 tbsp dry active yeast 2 tbsp honey 2 tsp salt 3 tbsp salted butter melted and cooled 1 tbsp dry milk powder (optional) 4-5 cups bread flour DIRECTIONS 1. In a measuring cup, add water and milk. Heat to 110-114 degrees. Once it is at the correct temperature, add yeast and honey. Stir together. (I recommend using a kitchen thermometer for warming the liquid) 2. Let the mixture rest for 5-10 minutes to allow it to activate the yeast and become frothy. 3. In a mixing bowl, add 4 cups bread flour or unbleached all purpose flour (preferable bread flour), cooled/melted butter, dry milk powder and yeast mixture. 4. Mix together in a mixing bowl, can use kitchen stand mixer or whisk. 5. Once the dough is well combined, cover with tea towel or seran wrap on the counter in a warmer place for 1-2 hours or until the dough has doubled in size. 6. Once it has doubled, gently punch down the dough to release the air pockets. 7. On a clean surface, sprinkle 1/4 cup flour onto clean surface. If dough is still sticky, add small amounts of flour and knead if needed. 8. Next, Cut dough in half and roll into 2 log forms. Grease 2 loaf pans and set dough in the pans. cover with seran wrap and set in warm place on counter. Let it rise for 30-45 minutes. Should double in size. 9. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. 10. Once bread is out of oven, spread butter on top while bread is warm. #EasyRecipe #homemadebread #breadrecipe #simplerecipe
