ROBLOX has gotten rid of piracy. Which is kind of weird to me because in my head, back in the day, if you were a little kid and you really didn't wanna ask your parents for money to buy a game, you had your other avenues to get the game. That was piracy, right? But then Roblox sort of made this new phenomena occur where every time there's a new game, developers will pump out a Roblox version like almost instantly. And so I'm starting to see that unless it's like a really big deal, really hard to make a game in Roblox. If it's something like a friend slop or something like a new casual indie game, it's more easily recreatable in Roblox. Not to take anything away from those games, it's just they're smaller in scale, right? So it's just kinda hit me that like the new children, the new young age of gamers don't need to pirate anything. They just have to wait a couple days, maybe a week at most, and then someone will have made a Roblox version of an extremely popular game. I don't really know how to feel about it. I guess it's probably good that people have less of a chance of getting viruses on their computer cause they don't have to go through like the sketchy sites to get to, you know, piracy to work. But at the same time, I'm not exactly happy with everything being moved to Roblox, because Roblox is notably not the best to developers. It's notably full of micro transactions. I've even seen ads in Roblox now, which is crazy, but, you know, um, I. I guess it's just something. It's a change for sure.
