Remember when Ron DeSantis started saying want massive AI data centers used too much water and electricity apparently wanted to millions of tax breaks according to reporting from the Tampa Bay Times Sentinel Florida has been handing in tax incentives centers under backed by DeSantis's administration even while publicly criticized facilities. So let me get this straight. These facilities consume enormous amounts of electricity. They require huge water for cooling. Many communities fighting them concerns about infrastructure and local resources. Tax dollars subsidize them. If data centers are such a problem that they need new laws to protect Floridians. Why were taxpayers helping pay for them in the first place? Exactly why to pay what politicians do not what they say. Because press conferences don't spend your legislation does.
