Had lunch with Brent Hoberman, co-founder of lastminute.com. He sold it for over a billion pounds and has since backed 400 startups. Three things stuck with me. The UK has a mindset problem America doesn’t have. Americans fail and call it a lesson. We fail and talk ourselves down. We need to make it easier to raise money here. Lower the cost of listing. Give founders better access to finance advisors. And it comes down to community. I build mine with Business Leader.
