I compared the price per gram of over 40 lip liners. The most expensive one is 30 times more expensive than the cheapest. Welcome back to my series where we compare affordable and luxury products in price per gram. Once again, this has no bearing on the performance, quality, longevity of the product, it's just a fun objective comparison. And today we're doing sharpenable lip pencils. I have not included retractable pencils because they don't quite compare and the pricing is also very different. You'll be shocked with the first one and I was. It's Huda Beauty Lip Contour 2.0, $41 for 0.5 grams, so that's $82 per gram. I've noticed that Fenty does something when the price per gram is not very good. They actually will not disclose the weight of the product. Here's a little screenshot of this one, and then I'll also quickly show you another product that's further down a list. They do have the weight and it's very consistent. It's always products that don't have the best value. Cream Glide Lip Liner, $6 for 1 gram, $6 per gram. And in second place, we have Essence Poutline Soft Glide Lip Pencil, $3 for 0.62 grams, $4.84 per gram. So I tried to speed through as much as I could because it's a massive category. I couldn't include them all. I tried to just cover what's most popular. The retractable lip liner category is not super exciting, so I don't think there's any surprises in there, but they're not as good value for your money as a sharpenable pencil. I also don't think they perform nearly as well. They're not as waxy as a pencil, so I don't think about when you use a pencil, you end up sharpening away a lot of product, so the value looks much worse for a retractable, but it might balance out when you consider that you sharpen away a pencil. Anyway, I've been trying to work on eyebrow pencils and holy shit, I don't know if there's some conspiracy in there somewhere, but brands just not disclosing the weight of their damn product, not the, you know, the actual product, not the, you know, the actual eyebrow product.
