These are a few things that surprised me about Moscow, Russia. Starting off, you can still find plenty of big brands like Coca-Cola, Lays, Starbucks, which surprised me. Different champagne labels. And this is mainly because they do something where they ship it to one country that doesn't have issues and they get it from that country into Russia. Another thing that surprised me is how expensive things are, like two latte and a snack is $14. This luxury train is $250 per person. This luxury train was $250 per person. That is partially because it's luxury and private also. Because it's the only thing that we could purchase with credit card using a certain app. This room was about $80. And in general, the prices were pretty much around this point or mid-range rooms. I would not say that this was anything special and if you want something that's maybe a four-star hotel, it'll be anywhere from $150 to $200 per night. I also expected caviar to be very cheap. However, it's usually anywhere from $50 to $100 or even more per ounce. Finally, Russia is actually very diverse. I think a lot of times people think of Russians as one very specific white ethnic group of people, but there are actually many different races here, especially in Moscow. But then when you look at how big Russia is and how many ethnic groups live within the borders, you'll realize that it's an incredibly ethnically diverse country. Can't wait to share more.
