Home THE LOST ART OF Home Videos The experience of sitting down on the couch with your family. Watching a 15 20 minute video of your vacation. We're all taking these vertical short form clips, that are getting lost in our camera roll. My goal is to show you guys how I prevent that from happening. If you're new here, my name is Mariah. I'm an artist & mom. And way before any of that, I was a professional video editor for over a decade. I want you to think of all of the vertical videos in your camera roll as content. Then, I want you to think of all of your horizontal video footage as home videos. The pros of doing this are that you're going to be able to watch them on your TV and you're going to be able to filter them separate from your vertical videos when it comes time to put them all together. So what I like to do is capture my horizontal #1, Film videos throughout the month, open up my camera roll, filter by video and then change the aspect ratio so that at a glance, I can see the vertical video and all of the vertical video and all of the horizontal And we're going to open up your editing app or choose July July 2026 Home Videos and export it right away. We are not going to get hung up on editing because then you're just going to fall behind on the system. Now that we have this nice long format video, what are #1, Film #2, "Filter By" #3, Edit #4, Export Now what? we going to do from there?
