I just found out how much Social Security says that I will get when I retire. As a 31-year-old and someone who's been working since she's been 15, so I've been working for about 16 years, let's discuss what those numbers look like. So at the age of 62, they're saying that I would get $2,812 per month, which is I can't like I can't make that work today. I couldn't imagine having to make that work in 30 years from now. And I'm sure this does not adjust for inflation. Age 67, if I were to pull at the standard age, I would get $4,041, I'm sorry, $4,041 per month. 70, I would get $5,011 per month. Now, the only reason why I'm not down about these numbers at all is because I am one to believe that I might not even be getting Social Security. I hate to be one of them type of people, but I've heard it, you know, pushed to my generation for so long. My retirement plan is my Roth IRA, my 401k, my taxable brokerage account, and my HSA. I'm not depending on the government. Now, whatever I get will be a supplement and it will be extra, because I'll definitely be pulling at 62. I'm not waiting until 67, and I'm damn sure not waiting until 70 to pull, okay?
